Seoul is the strongest first stop for palaces, food, shopping and neighbourhood variety. Add Busan for a contrasting coastal city or Jeju for nature and a slower island pace.
How long should I spend in South Korea?
Seven to ten days works well for Seoul plus Busan. Allow around two weeks if you also want Jeju, day trips and unhurried time in each destination.
When is the best time to visit?
Spring and autumn usually offer comfortable temperatures and attractive scenery. Summer is hot, humid and rainy, while winter is cold but can be rewarding for clear days and seasonal experiences.
