Helpful answers

Spain FAQs

Useful guidance before choosing your cities and experiences.

Where should first-time visitors begin?

Barcelona and Madrid provide a strong introduction to Spain’s architecture, art, food and city life. Add Seville or Granada for Andalusian heritage, or Mallorca and Tenerife for island landscapes.

How long should I spend in Spain?

Seven to ten days works well for two cities. Allow around two weeks to combine Barcelona, Madrid and Andalusia, or add extra time for Mallorca, Tenerife or another coastal destination.

When is the best time to visit?

Spring and autumn are comfortable for city sightseeing and outdoor tours. Summer is lively but can be very hot inland, while winter is quieter and generally mild in the south and on the islands.

Do I need to book experiences in advance?

Reserve major attractions such as the Sagrada Familia and Alhambra, as well as popular guided tours and island excursions, particularly during weekends and peak travel periods.
