Helpful answers

United Arab Emirates FAQs

Useful guidance before choosing your cities and experiences.

Where should first-time visitors begin?

Dubai is the most natural starting point for many visitors because it combines major landmarks, desert tours, beaches and a broad range of activities. Abu Dhabi adds celebrated cultural sites and a different pace.

Can I combine Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Yes. The two cities can be combined in one trip, and Abu Dhabi is also available as a day excursion from Dubai. Staying in both cities gives you more time to explore each without rushing.

When is the best time to visit?

October to April generally offers more comfortable temperatures for walking and outdoor activities. Summer travel is possible, but sightseeing is best planned around air-conditioned attractions and cooler parts of the day.

What should I wear?

Light clothing suits the climate, but carry an extra layer for strong indoor air conditioning. Dress more conservatively for mosques and religious sites, and follow the specific visitor guidance for each attraction.
